Month Three

We're getting in to the swing of things nicely now. You're such a good baby.

2011 has been so full of life, it's simply overwhelming. 

We lost

we laughed

we cried

we hugged

we kissed

we fought

we made up

we lived

and we're ready to do it all over again

Christmas 2011

This year, we had the busiest holiday we've probably ever had.

Wednesday

It all began with a solo drive that Peach & I made by ourselves. A boring eight-hour drive which turned into a hellish twelve, in which her diaper exploded twice. Have you ever had to clean poop out of your two-month old's belly button while she howls in the parking lot of a Krystal? I don't recommend it. 

Thursday

We visited Memaw & Pop.

 We ate pot roast and memaw's biscuits,
then went up to The Forum for some shopping and fro-yo.

Friday

Dibo made us breakfast, yum

and we visited the office to load up on yummies.

Saturday found us spending the day at our friend Erika's with 

best friend Hannah & all of our babies

p.s. we all went to high school together!

Sunday Aunt Elle & Peach spend some Q time

before we had to leave for

The Annual Efferson Christmas Party

always a treat.

Monday

sushi lunch with memaw and pop, more shopping at the forum, dinner with the fam

Tuesday

We snuck in some viewing time of gymnastics practice before picking 

J up at the airport and spending the rest of the day at Ikea

 (joy!) 

and in traffic missing the candy house party at Memaw's 

 boo

On Wednesday daddy and peach (and kitty) got some much needed r&r

 

while mommy returned about a hundred dollars worth of old baby gifts (mostly duplicates) and took some much needed "me" time (shopping).

Thursday

we spent some time with Auntie Jen

before Peach's meet & greet party

p.s. we've been best friends since we were four!

Friday

Spongebob with Grandma

 Mayer family dinner

Saturday

last minute xmas shopping then candle light church service

open presents

then wrecked my belly with 3am munchies

Sunday

opened presents

went back to bed (via wrecked belly)

Memaw's

Doctor Who Party

 surprise visit from old friends!

Monday

went home. The return drive was remarkably smoother. We only had to stop once for her and when we got home, she did this:

Two Is Better Than One

You are getting to be so much fun.

Your head is one of my absolute favorite things ever. Especially my view of it from the rear view mirror in your monkey mirror above your car seat.

Black Friday

As per tradition, we make the hour-and-a-half drive up to Hattiesburg every Thanksgiving weekend to spend time with our family. Only this time, we brought our plus one.

Gramma was excited to see Peach again

and Cousin Alana and Aunt Michelle were delighted to meet her

as was Great Aunt Louise

even Great Uncle Bill was excited to meet Peach, but his own babies were being protective

and we dressed her up

in the cutest little santa suit

Thanksgiving 2011

This year brought us much more to be thankful for than ever before.
